K-LADDER KLS-205F / KLB-205F – Height-Adjustable Platform Step Ladder

The K-LADDER KLS-205F (silver) and KLB-205F (black) are 5-step aluminium platform step ladders built for safe work at height. They were developed under commission from the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) as a safer alternative to conventional mobile ladders, on which loss of balance and tip-over are the most frequent causes of injury. Maximum working height is 3.9 m and the guardrail-enclosed work platform can be set between 1.3 m and 2.2 m, so a single ladder covers a wide range of tasks.

Active Outrigger – patented one-touch stabilisation

The core technology of the K-LADDER is the Active Outrigger. With a single touch, each of the four outrigger legs drops independently to match the contour of the ground and locks automatically without folding back. This keeps all four feet loaded even on sloped, uneven or stepped surfaces, which is exactly the condition under which ordinary ladders tip over. The operator does not need to shim, level or re-position the ladder by hand.

Guardrail-enclosed work platform

The worker stands on a full work platform surrounded by a guardrail and a mid guardrail, rather than balancing on a narrow rung. The guardrail height is adjustable: it is kept retracted for storage and transport, and pulled up to full height in use, or set to the lower position where a ceiling would otherwise interfere. Rated load is 150 kg.

Multi-caster mobility

Casters fitted to the four rubber feet let one worker push the ladder to the next position without lifting it. Pressing the front and rear caster levers seats the rubber feet firmly on the ground and lifts the wheels clear, so the ladder cannot roll while it is being climbed.

Safety and certification

The K-LADDER range is tested to the EN 131-7 platform ladder standard and holds Korean S-Mark safety certification. Related patent: Mobile Safety Ladder, KR Patent No. 10-2760659.
