3-Wire DC Contact Point Control Type
For 32A–50A Ball Valves & 50A Wafer Butterfly Valves
The AD12-3TC and AD24-3TC are high-performance DC electric actuators designed for precise quarter-turn valve automation using a 3-wire contact point control system. Engineered for industrial reliability, these actuators combine strong torque output, compact structure, low power consumption, and simplified ON/OFF switch control, making them ideal for automated piping systems, water treatment equipment, agricultural automation, machinery, and OEM integration.
The AD12-3TC operates on DC12V (2A), while the AD24-3TC operates on DC24V (2A). Both models utilize a 3-wire DC power connection with a contact-type control system, enabling stable and straightforward switch-based operation.
Max. Output Torque: 200 kgf·cm
Operating Time (90°, No-load):
AD12-3TC: approx. 15 seconds
AD24-3TC: approx. 10 seconds
Mechanical Life: Approx. 40,000 cycles (depending on usage environment and method)
Weight: Approx. 950 g
Standby Power Consumption: Approx. 0.5W
The actuator closes clockwise and opens counter-clockwise (top view orientation). It is designed for indoor environments without condensation and operates within a temperature range of -15°C to 50°C (35–85% RH).
The actuator is compatible with:
Ball Valves: 32A, 40A, 50A
Butterfly Valve: 50A wafer type
Ball Valve
Operating Temperature: 0°C to 120°C
Application Fluid: Non-corrosive liquids and gases
Butterfly Valve
Operating Temperature: 0°C to 90°C
Application Fluid: Non-corrosive water and liquids
Maximum Operating Pressure: 10 kgf/cm² (142 PSI)
These specifications make the AD-3TC series suitable for general industrial piping, fluid control systems, building automation, greenhouse systems, and machine-mounted valve control applications.
The AD-3TC series uses a 3-wire DC power connection (Red, Black, White):
Red: DC +
Black: DC –
White: Switch signal
Operation logic:
Switch ON → Valve Opens (○)
Switch OFF → Valve Closes (×)
Power Off → Valve Closes (fail-safe close)
This control configuration allows easy integration with relay panels, PLC outputs, and manual switch control systems.
The actuator is equipped with both a display window and an indicator lamp for intuitive status monitoring:
When Open: A circle (○) appears in the display window and the green lamp turns ON
When Closed: A cross (×) appears and the lamp turns OFF
This dual confirmation system ensures clear visual identification of valve position in industrial environments.
For maintenance or emergency situations, a manual lever is provided:
Pull the manual lever upward.
Rotate the actuator body clockwise (Open → Close) or counter-clockwise (Close → Open).
Important Notes:
During manual operation, the display window and indicator lamp do not change status.
After manual operation, return the fixing pin attached to the manual lever to its original position.
Install the actuator vertically on a valve that is already fixed in the piping line.
Refer to the wiring diagram and connect correctly.
For DC12V systems, supply power of DC12V/3A or higher when applying compatible control systems.
Install a switch or disconnecting device for emergency power-off.
Attach an overcurrent protection device to protect the circuit.
When powering on for the first time after installation or after long inactivity, allow approximately 3 minutes of charging before operation. After performing an opening operation, wait at least 2 minutes before closing to maintain stable performance and extend service life.
The actuator must not be submerged in water. Submersion may cause malfunction or electric shock. Storage and transportation temperature range is -25°C to 55°C. Avoid operating the actuator in environments exceeding 65°C.
